One Week Bandiversary

My recovery has been GREAT in that I've had little to no pain and have not taken any meds since I've been home. The entire family especially my Mom (I'm a spoiled brat) has waited on me hand and foot. I've gotten plenty of rest and I'm almost excited to get back to work on Monday. My post op Doctor's visit is in the morning. I can't wait to see the numbers on the scale. I pulled out several pairs of pants that were way too tight and they came up over this big butt (not bad for a few short weeks) another week or two they will fit yay! I confess - I love not being hungry but I wonder how long it will last. So far I'm loving my band and the responsibility that I must have with it. I hope everyone is having a GREAT week!

  1. Let the journey begin! How exciting. Being hunger free is a wonderful thing. It lasted quite sometime for me.

  2. Yay! So glad you're doing really well. The "no hunger" thing lasted about until the end of the 2nd week for me. But I'm still nowhere near what my previous big appetite was, and haven't had my first fill yet. Responsibility is a great word for this journey...I can see now that the band forces us to end the game playing around food and that's a good thing.

  5. Yay! Super excited for you! I got my appetite back in like Week 2...but you'll notice that you're eating considerably less than pre-band! It's insane! So happy for you! Here's to 2012! :)
