Got my first fill on Thursday. Easy as 123 got to see my band and the needle. He only gave me 3 ccs, I think it should have been more. After the rest of the day on liquids I don't feel any different. Everything goes down fine. I know how much I'm supposed to eat so I don't go over that amount but I could because I don't feel any restriction.
I confess - my new water bobble is my favorite. I got the 34oz bottle and I fill it at least 3 times a day. That's 102 oz people!!! Down another 3 lbs so life is GOOD!

Living a Banded Life
I had a Doctor's appointment today down 3 additional pounds I was a little upset I felt it should have been more. The nutritionist and doctor said it was great especially since the band is not officially "turned on". I get "turned on" next Thursday thank the Sweet Lord!!! Im getting my water in and I'm learning to live this Banded Life.
Today was Staff Development Day (school for teachers no students) doughnuts were everywhere I confess - I wanted to eat one or two but didn't I had an apple sauce instead. I deserve another 3 pound loss for that.
Happy Wednesday!

Wonderful Wednesday
I woke up this morning 2 pounds lighter so yes it is a WONDERFUL Wednesday especially after complaining of being so HUNGRY a few days ago. I just may be getting used to this banded life. I still desperately want my first fill but I'm learning to listen to my body. What I've learned: it's okay to feel a little hungry, it's also okay to hear my stomach growling (boy it can get loud at times) I will be okay and closely monitor what I'm eating. I'm drinking my water and trying to get in my protein. I'm hoping to begin excercise after my doctor's appointmnet on Monday. I confess - I could get use to the scale going down and I don't want it to stop until I reach goal. Praying I get a fill on Monday! Hope everyone is having a GREAT WEEK!

WTH Happened to Feeling Full
Today is my 18th day after surgery and I've been hungry all day, no I've been HUNGRY! I feel like I could eat a cheeseburger and fries and wash it down with an ice cold Pepsi. This feeling started Friday and has not stopped. I'm staying under 1200 calories and getting my protein but I don't like this feeling. I'm starting to wonder if there's a band there at all. The doctor said I should be ready for a fill in four weeks but in the between time what do I do? I think I need a fill now. I confess - a Pepsi sounds soooooo good but I'm 45 days clean and I don't want to mess that up.

Wonders in Band Land
Week 2 of the Band: I'm down 23 pounds I'm sooooooo happy. I tried on some clothes that were too tight and they almost fit I figure another week or two and I'll be back in them. I'm starting to get really hungry lately and I'm trying to deal with it. Water is difficult to drink during the day because I'm a teacher and can't (not that I would they are gross)go to the restroom. I confess - I have been weighing myself everyday and realize I must stop because the scale is driving me CRAZY! So once a week it is - Wednesdays. Trying to figure out what I can eat to keep within my target of 1200 calories a day. Happy Hump Day hope everyone's week has been great!

One Week Bandiversary
My recovery has been GREAT in that I've had little to no pain and have not taken any meds since I've been home. The entire family especially my Mom (I'm a spoiled brat) has waited on me hand and foot. I've gotten plenty of rest and I'm almost excited to get back to work on Monday. My post op Doctor's visit is in the morning. I can't wait to see the numbers on the scale. I pulled out several pairs of pants that were way too tight and they came up over this big butt (not bad for a few short weeks) another week or two they will fit yay! I confess - I love not being hungry but I wonder how long it will last. So far I'm loving my band and the responsibility that I must have with it. I hope everyone is having a GREAT week!

It's Official I'm Banded
Surgery went well! While inside the surgeon repaired a hernia too. I arrived at 8 and went back to the OR at 11. Once I got the happy juice I was out. I woke up in recovery and was taken to my room for my overnight stay. I was NOT allowed to drink or sip anything for the entire day (what torture) the lady next door drank the mouthwash and while tempted I knew better. I was up every two hours to pee thanks to the iv. The hospital is no place to rest. Woke up at 7 and went for swallow test I saw the band (have to give her a name)swallow some type of syrup watched it drip into the band and was given clearance to drink water!
I haven't had any real pain so I haven't touched the pain meds. I have a little gas not much. I'm excited to be able to sleep on my left side even though the port is there.
Thanks for the prayers and well wishes they are appreciated!
Now let the games begin!
